Déjà vu

Genre-FANTASY

(Starring SHANE as the main lead and narrator
Tammy as SHANE’S girlfriend
and Dr. Kevin Frankenstein as the scientist)

The biggest embarrassment in your life occurs when you go blank in front of a gorgeous girl. I was trying my best to restore myself to that place, but my mind took me to into a parallel world. Brain is an angel, but the mind designed by us is a devil in itself. Its complexity sometimes fascinates me a lot and shows me its unique creativity. That day it showed me something which completely amazed me in a million ways. I started remembering that the event taking place right now has previously happened sometime. Somehow, I came back to my senses but till then it was too late because the girl was already annoyed. Do you have any idea what it takes to bring a girl back to normal when you are not listening to her? Anyways, I figured out that in the best interest of both of us; leaving that place and conversation was a better idea rather than trying to achieve the impossible.

That night I couldn’t sleep at all. My mind wasn’t letting me sleep. I was cursing myself for ditching the conversation with Tammy, but my mind was more focused towards “Déjà vu”. Indeed, the thing that occurred to me is called “Déjà vu”. I found it on the internet. Just wrote my symptoms and got the most complicated name and theory I’ve ever heard. I read many reasons for these kinds of happenings, and of all the reasons I read; none of them gave me any kind of satisfaction. Later, I explored that many people suffered from the same psychological effect. I was seeking the valid reasons and its genuine effects because my enthusiasm lied in a thought i.e. “how we can use this exceptional gift for our own benefits?”

Now, you all might anticipate that my thoughts are senseless but it does make a lot of sense; only if you are willing to see it from my vision. The conclusion lies in the fact that, I can see the future at an indefinite time in the present. But, I cannot remember it instantaneously. I recognize it when it actually happens; and then I correlate it to a similar event that took place in the past.
Confused?
Let me make it easy for you. I can see the future. But, as soon as I observe it; the agent from Men in Black arrives and erases my memory. The funny thing is that my memory comes back as soon as the exact event happens again. Now, the thing which needs to be look upon is, “how can we save our memory?”
Is there any technique or method to save it somewhere else?

Well, after reading plenty of books on human and mind psychology; and surfing the internet for hours, I got loads of information. After combining and merging all the theories, incidents, experiments, case studies and personal experience; I came up with ‘Shane’s
Déjà vu Theory’ which states that
“We see the future in our dreams. The whole occurrence in the dream is stored in our subconscious mind. This was the prime reason we never remembered anything. And after a long time, when that particular event arises in reality; our subconscious mind makes us feel that it has occurred previously. For perceiving the future before it actually transpires, we need to get the entire data from our subconscious mind and it should be converted in the form of a video image.”
Despite giving such an extraordinary theory, I had no competency of building a device which can possibly record the dream.

Hence, for comprehending this concept in a superior way and for corralling the explanations to my doubts; I had to approach someone who was a genius in this field. A person who relied on the phenomenon’s which were beyond the bounds of possibility. The one who does experiments of science which can change fiction into reality. Someone who believed in triggering revolution in the
field of emotional and mental constitution; and of all the scientists this world considered insane, I picked up Dr. Kevin Frankenstein as my ace of trumps. He is the supreme person, who will fulfill my bizarre fantasy.

So, I finally visited Dr. Kevin Frankenstein and told him about my experience and my desire. My theory totally astonished him. The guy knew what I precisely needed. He assured me to fulfill my dream at any cost and told me to come after five years. I was astounded and disheartened. Five long years for a guy who is impatient and over excited? But I had to trust him since there were no other options left. Still, I learnt something that day i.e. ‘to acquire the unattainable, you should have the will to faith’.

3 YEARS LATER
I am active on facebook and doing the same old stuff i.e. adding random people specially ‘girls’. Wait! Actually all of them are girls. Suddenly, I receive a message on my mobile. It is from an unfamiliar number and as usual I’m getting Goosebumps because I’m assuming the sender to be a girl. Did u ever have a feeling of dismay and delight at the same time? Because she wasn’t a girl but, the sender was none other than Dr. Kevin Frankenstein. The great one wrote as I quote
“Shane
After the hard work of three struggling years, I have certainly invented it before the scheduled span of five years. Come and get it son.”

If Selena Gomez would have proposed me today, I wouldn’t have got as blissful as I am right now. Even Cloud Nine was beneath my feet. After getting this machine, I will command my fate; and I’m going to build my own destiny. The key to the future lies in my hand. I will never disclose this technology to the world, because I want to take the pleasure from almighty’s endowment immortally. Moreover, it might go in corrupt hands and could be misused. People may use it for aiding the society, the deprived; for assisting their country; for terminating a calamity; for taking discretion during hazards and disasters. But social service isn’t my cup of tea. I am narcissistic and proud of it. And from this very moment, I am going to live a life of a king.

I went to the secluded workshop of Dr. Kevin Frankenstein and noticed him standing near a machine. He had a devil smile on his face. Kevin asked me behold the machine until he comes back from some work. I rushed towards the device and started examining it without any understanding of the machine.
Suddenly, my mind went blank again. I became aware of the fact that this event has taken place earlier. Holy mother of God! This was
Déjà vu. And I recalled that in the end someone……
I heard a gunshot and there was a black out in front of my eyes. I couldn’t feel my head. Later, when I retrieved my vision up to a certain extent; I saw a guy holding a gun. Upon the clearance of the smoke in the air; it was finally revealed that the guy was none other than Dr. Kevin Frankenstein.

I was a victim of my own stupidity. Kevin would have never made this device without my theory. I promised to myself that I won’t proclaim this revolutionary tool to anyone, but I forgot that Kevin took the same oath. I placed confidence in the fallacious guy. All the dreams and aspirations shattered. Regret surrounded my hoggish mind. I was born proficient but got executed before I could receive a Non- Noble Prize. My endeavor was ineffectual. The pursuit to procure the impossible has lastly ended. These were the last moments of my immature life. I listened to his footsteps coming near me. And, finally he said the last three words to me.
“GO TO HELL”.

THE END.

LIFE.... ANSWER IT

“Run! Run fast! What if you’re missing something out? What is we miss out what’s here because we are running? Do we have to fight for what we deserve? Or do we wait? For a span of time long enough to break us down. Should we expect or should we accept? Or just make things work on our own? What’s the algorithm?”

These are the questions which everyone’s hearts keep asking them! Or everyone keep asking their hearts! But only few get the answer. Rest of them are just pessimists, who hate the way life treated them. A teacher, author tries to explain this to us through depicting the way she lived her life. Her story, in her words-

‘Before I received “Presidential Medal Of Freedom” award in 1964, I suffered a series of strokes, back in 1961, when the gates of life have almost closed! My will power and desire to live are what saved me. “Desire of life”!! Many think of it as a negative quality, but that is what induces the spirit in us and helps us in fighting the worst enemy of us- Death!

This fact seems a bit irrelevant, but it is me who introduced the “akita” dog to whole of the America!

I have a total of 12 books published books and innumerous articles published under my name. When I wrote my first book, at the age of 11, world opposed me, making the charges of plagiarism on me! I was broke completely. How could they blame me! The only source of my writings was my heart. And they say my heart is a cheat! That was the first time I felt the voids in my life. But to fill the voids, I felt that avoiding them was the best way instead of fighting back. I did that and continued with my works which are still considered to be the finest amongst its category! That day I found out that “When the world starts criticizing you, it means that you have the ingredients with you, to reach the top of the world!

Admired by the Mark Twain, today, I stand as one of the world’s best speaker and author. By the way, my name is Helen Keller. When the world left me alone to rot, considering me nothing more than just blind and deaf, Anne Sullivan worked miracles on me to shape this rock into a beautiful statue! Every person’s life has one such teacher! Some are in the form of humans, some are in the form of experiences and some are in the form of thoughts, which are buried deep down your heart! When you meet them, you’ll get answers to all the above questions!”

“Should I live each moment? Don’t just live! Cherish them, learn from them. Be strong. Keep your head high! Move at your own pace. Everyone’s life, however trouble-studded it may be, is a unique design in itself. Just make sure that you try hard.

Life is a question mark, than a full stop. You don’t end it; it ends only once. But you answer it! Freely! Independently! And that’s how we grow”

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

#3rd prize#
Genre : Motivational

Who am I ?

Why Am I like So ?

Why I cant be like him/her ?

Why I like this ?

Why I hate this ?

Am I Special ?

or just a Simple being, utter useless.

Whats Good in me ?

Why I cant do this ?

Why I get Scolding ?

Why cant I do what I want ?

Why taunt me ?

Why Struggles ?

Where's paradise, where's Heaven ?

Where's Eternal Relief ?

Where's Money ?

Where's Leisure ?

Where's my Life ?

Why it happens to me only ?

Why so ? Why ? Why and Why ?

Perhaps, these are the questions that revolve around us once or while in a day. Isn't it ?

Hybridization of thoughts.... More often, this kinda questions may prevail to many. Now, its vulnerability is relative. There may be some who think about these questions more often. The word ' why' seems to be their pick.

Well, I feel the root cause of birth of these questions is the lack of Satisfaction. We, in general are never satisfied. We want Honey... more honey... more and more Honey, and still, our thirst seldom gets quenched.

Now, whats the answer ? Its a bit complex, and not straight forward. But it can definitely freeze all those questions, provided your assertion is good enough.

Remember Arthur Ashe ? He is a legendary Wimbledon Player. He was suffering from a deadly disease. One of his close friend asked him "Why God has selected you only for this deadly disease ? "

To this Ashe replied, " 50 Million children started playing tennis. 5 Million learnt it, 0.5 million learnt professional tennis, 50000 came to the Circuit, 5000 reached grandslam, 50 to Wimbledon, 4 to the Semis, and 2 to the Finals. And when I was holding the cup, I never asked God ' Why me ? Why not X,Y,Z ? ' and now in this pain, I don't have any rights to ask God 'WHY ME?'.

The words of Ashe says it all. I bet, the very question of 'why me..' never arises in the state of Ecstasy. Say, you are rich, you wont yell out, why I am so, and why not those who are begging in the footpaths. Say, you are in supreme bliss, you wont reveal out why not others. Say, you are a King and you won a battle, its idiotic to even think of Why I won ? It never Happens.. It only happens when the rain of exhilaration ceases to fall on us.

The more you think, the more you may end up being Distressed. Each and everyone is special in one or the other department. One doesn't need to think whether there is anything special in him/her.Searching, for something in yourself, is never a bad business. "Why I cant do this?" should be transformed into the form, after some Intermediate steps ( which are more or less, abstract.) " I can do this."

Don't think much,at least regarding this prospect. That's the bottom-line here. Infinite crazy thoughts can come in Mind. Took a toll on the questions that encircles you. Build those which you find productive. Flush the rest, out of your mind, out of your world...

Transformations:-

Why Am I like So ??? That's me ! So What ?

Why I cant be like him/her ? I want to be 'me' only.

Why I like this ? My Choice ! No Ifs and Buts..

Why I hate this ? Again, my choice !

Am I Special ? Yes, I am.

Whats Good in me ? Heaps of Goodness ! Just need some doors to let them out.

Why I cant do this ? I can. Give me a Chance

Why I get Scolding ? Scolding makes me Strong, and brings Improvement.

Why cant I do what I want ? I can do whatever I want, which is under my Control.

Why taunt me ? I don't care !

Why Struggles ? That's the part of Life.

Where's paradise, where's Heaven ? Its Here only.. Damn Relative !

Where's Eternal Relief ? Its Hard to achieve !

Where's Money ? Depends strictly on your Work. Unnecessary thought..

Where's Leisure ? Its there ! Not 24*7 one is preoccupied with Work.

Where's my Life ? You are living it.. What more ?

Why it happens to me only ? Let it happen. If it is good, very well lest will transform it into Good.

Do Think ! But there are many other things to think at!

DECLINE OF LIFE

#2nd prize#

The old are in a second childhood.

-ARISTOPHANES, The Clouds

I saw these pictures and discovered the meaning of the above stated quote. I remember my mom once told me that the old people need to be looked after as an infant. Little did i know how true she was!

When a baby opens his eyes he doesn't know who he is, what creatures are moving around him, why are they staring and laughing at him and why are they trying to entice him with toys and other colorful things. It is a new world for him. His brain is not yet developed to answer these questions. He doesn't have control over his body. He can't eat. He can't walk or sit. He just sleeps, wakes up and makes others awake. He grows up each day and starts recognizing people. He learns how to laugh and cry (i think, kids don't need to learn the skill of crying....they cry as they're born! :)).He grows up each day. His life begins. His childhood ends. He is now a real grown-up. His life goes on...

Years pass. He is now old. He faces ignorance of the creatures whom he'd taught the lessons of life. But he has many other creatures who look after him. The world suddenly seems to be new to him. His brain is unable to answer his questions. He can't walk or sit anymore. He just sleeps, wakes up and makes others awake. He can't eat. He does not grow up anymore. He has lost control over his body. Again, he finds himself surrounded with many creatures. He can recognize only few. He doesn't know why are they staring and crying, why are they sad, why are they holding his hand, why are so many transparent pipes attached to his body and finally to these big transparent bottles. His life declines and finally again he doesn't know where he is, but is happy now. :(

I really respect old people. my mom was right that old need to be cared as a child. Like a mother loves her baby, like a sibling loves her sibling, an old should be loved. These are the people who become happy if you share a smile, a joke, a hug or may be a chocolate :) Love them and remember an old is no less than an infant :) have a nice day!!

I WILL GO ON

#FIRST PRIZE#

 I WILL GO ON
Let the blocks I walk on
Stumble and tumble and break down
Let the pool of quenching thirst
Go shallow and dry up before a burst
I know I'll go on…..

Let the chase end before it starts
Let the tortoise overtake my carts
I know a slave's more complacent
Before my life's arrogance
I know I'll go on……

Let the triumphant victories
Those medals, that glory
Be nothing but mere memory
Making my present full of rivalry
But I know I'll go on……

Many a twist and turn and bounce
Have I crossed to pounce
On the viscous world and back
To get bruises in a stack
Let what may, be whatever
I know still, yet and forever

I WILL GO ON!

ONE WORD and a THOUSAND FEELINGS : "COLLEGE"

#2nd Prize#

College is referred to as an higher education institution. It's the place where students learn everything. It is considered as one of the most important part of a student's life. From studying the whole year we switch to studying the night before, from going out occassionally we switch to sitting back home occassionally, from having a good percentage of attendance we switch to short attendance, from bunking classes quite rarely we switch to having GT's 3 days a week, from being dependant we turn to the responsible world of being independent and managing ourselves, we do all those things that are parents would do just to realize them that we are now college students, and many more changes accompany the fact that a student is in college.

Starting from the very first day in the new environment with new faces all around and specially the feeling of a "college" , it seems all perfect as if you passed junior college(11th and 12th) for this day. Then you have a look at your class and u see people trying to be at their best, your mind starts making first impressions but hold on these are deceptive sometimes. And then you find a familiar face someone from your school or coaching, someone whom you have never talked to although and you are so so relieved. Slowly the friend circle expands and we get to know about each other, the trust starts developing and people take place in our hearts and then it doesn't seems that it's a new place an unfamiliar place. Then you get to know about the activities in college and your seniors encourage you to participate in everything and believe you me even you will try to take part in everything because as they say the first year is the only year  where  you will get time to have fun and take part in events and attend workshops to learn new things. They will tell you about many socities, cultural, technical, social, literary and many more and every event will teach you something new.

College is a place where you get into everything that you have never tried.First experience of everything gives you the confidence of trying it again and it lets you analyse your mistakes. It provides you with a platform so good that you can overcome every fear of yours, enhance your talent, publicise it and turn things in your favour. From whereever you come, your state, language, board of education does not matter, what matters is how you carry yourself and present youself to people. College brings in your life things that you might experience for the first time from getting away with your fear to the fear of being caught, from staying away from love to falling in love, from having a limited crowd around yourself to being with people with different mentality. It's a place where you not only gain education but everything that would help you for the rest of your life. It is a place where you will find all kinds of people with all sorts of thinking and you will learn adjusting in such an environment.

This place teaches you everything so enjoy your life to the fullest you won't get another chance to live this time. And do remember to take pictures or jot down every night about what you experienced and learned today, how many people you met because this will be the only thing that will make you memorize these golden moments. "College" contains in itself an institute that not only builds in you an engineer, a doctor or an architect but that develops the real you.

THE WORLD WE IGNORE

Life on Streets

The world we ignore! Yes, there is a world, so deeply sucked into the Insanity is building in it and craziness is making a deep impact in its residents. It is not somewhere we can’t look upon! This lunatic world is right around us, or may be sometimes we too are habitants of this world! We too have our own lives on streets, but these people have something more to their lives. May be it positive or negative, we still have a choice to bring out the best in them!

As night folds her black wings over the world, the privileged retire to a peaceful and cozy slumber, while the night ghosts plunder those on the streets. They take over the streets as silently as a bat and spread their roots deep into the darkness of the streets. These people are often considered to be trespassers, criminals, thieves and anti-social elements. But in reality they are victims of brutality, slavery, helplessness and fate. They are victims not criminals. These children leading a life on streets suffer exploitation at an early age which makes them tough and resistant but they lose their innocence and indulge in violent activities. They remind me of the flowers, for they give fragrance right from their birth. Difference is that they have the fragrance of struggle instead of pleasant one. These uneducated, illiterate and barely informed children sprout like wild weeds of the society. Most of us are unaware of the dark lives of these homeless people and what made them to choose such  miserable lives .Try to ask yourselves these questions :Do we ever raise our voice against the exploitation of small children? Do we ever think of the plight of the people we so often considers as nuisance for us? Do we ever try to know what distress compelled them to resort such lives? The answer is an inevitable “NO”. This is because our comfortable life, which is the gift of our parents to us, has lured us away from what is “being human”. After all this do we have the right to call ourselves civilized and educated???
Mother Teresa once said “Let us not wait for leaders, but do person to person”. Being the youth of the country it is our responsibility to solve this problem. They too, when educated and properly guided will contribute to the growth of our own India. It is our duty to stretch our helping hands and transform these weeds into healthy plants. And this can be done by acknowledging and adopting the idea of  “Each one teach one” because once they are educated they themselves will be able to choose a suitable profession and pull themselves out of utter penury. Let us not wait for governments to pass laws and big NGOs to come to their help instead we should take the first step .Take out some time from our so called very busy schedules .It is good to watch “Satyamev Jayate” but not taking any message from it and practicing it in our daily lives is nothing but waste of those 90 minutes. If each one of us does a little, a lot goes done. Don’t wait for an independence day or Gandhi jayanti to make a resolution to reach out and help and uplift the down trodden. Do it today! Because it is independence the moment you break free the orthodox rules to uplift the society. Let’s discharge our duty towards mankind and reduce the sufferings of each people, be their hope and bring a little ray of hope in their lives so that this dusk of misery and pain may usher in a morning full of sunshine, happiness and hopes in the lives of those in despair.

                                                   For you  and  me
And  for  the  entire  human  race.

TOP 5 EVENTS OF IBC (2011-12)

2011-12: For me, it can be called the golden era of IBC, under leadership of Mr Vivek Ohri and Mr Adwitiya Tiwari. To pick the top 5 events of that academic year was like selecting the best amongst Christopher Nolan’s movies. After much brainstorming, I picked up best moments of IBC last year! Rest of the events were awesome too,

5. WASSUP WITH THE YOUTH.

HOSTS: Akash Bohare, Rishika Gaur, Prakrati Mittal
This event was a stunner! It was slightly informative, but highly entertaining. It went so well that it seemed something like a block buster from Salman. Highlight of the event was the group discussion(which turned into a debate): “Which life is better- Hostelers’ or Day schis’”.

4. ITS ALL ABOUT SIGNS.

HOSTS: Prachi, Aayush, Aparna.
Hosted by the third years, that too by the famous faces of MANIT, there were expectations that crowd’s gonna turn up in huge numbers. But in contrast, this was one of the event with least crowd. But it is in the top 5 list because of the quality of the hosting and sub-events. We learned a lot- about Zodiac and about hosting an event from the hosts. Extra ordinary work done by the hosts.

3. AD MANIA.

HOSTS: Hardhik Pokhrel, Shika Porwal.
It was the first event of that academic year. Huge crowd, highly talented hosts and innovation at its best! Sub events were so good that there wasn’t even one boring moment in the entire event. Enacting round was a huge hit. Participants were made into teams and asked to enact a ad on a specific product. It was hilarious and innovative at the same time. For IBC to score big in the year, this opening stand laid a wonderful platform!

2. JOURNALISM.

HOSTS: Aishwarya Sharma, Arpit Goyal, Rachit.
To make such a serious topic entertaining may not be a herculean task, but to retain the soul of the theme while doing so, is certainly difficult! This event was perfectly embroidered with threads of entertainment into the design of information! Coming to the way it was hosted, just splendid! It never looked one way, but response was at its best from the audience too!

   1.    I- campus
   B
   C ourt Martial

HOSTS:  Vivek Ohri, Adwitiya Tiwari.

It was unforgettable. When two icons, that you’ve always admired, stand in front of you as hosts, its natural to be mesmerized by their awesomeness. But that’s just one of the reason for picking this as the best. Main reason is that, if you’ve attended this event, you are just not the same person anymore. 2 hours of that event gave us the guidance, strength and enough hope for two more years of my college life. Every sub-event was spontaneous. It was the best and still is!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

With the inspiration that all of these hosts have provided us, we hope to have events as good as these in this year too!

OLD AGE- A SOCIAL ISSUE

In traditional Chinese and other Asian cultures the aged were highly respected and cared for. The Igabo tribesmen of Eastern Nigeria value dependency in their aged and involve them in care of children and the administration of tribal affairs. The hallmark of Indian culture is our respectful attitude towards our elders, and the practice of more than one generation living together. Our parents are the ones who have brought us up and made us what we are. At least out of consideration for that much, we should be good and kind towards them. But Younger generations no longer assign status to the aged and their abandonment is always in danger of becoming the social norm. There has been a tendency to subject the aged to domestic violence, subject them to cruelity , to remove the aged from their homes and put them  in custodial care.
A man's life is normally divided into five main stages namely infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age. In each of these stages an individual has to find himself in different situations and face different problems. The old age is not without problems. In old age physical strength deteriorates, mental stability diminishes; money power becomes bleak coupled with negligence from the younger generation. After a certain age health problems begin to crop up leading to losing control over one's body, even not recognizing own family owing to Alzheimer are common in old age. It is then children began to see their parents as burden. It is these parents who at times wander out of their homes or are thrown out, penniless and homeless  to depend on charity. Some dump their old parents or grand parents in old-age homes and don't even come to visit them anymore. The state of the widows of Vrindavan – with nowhere to go and their own family having cast them out, is an example of the outcome; they earn a meager living by devotional singing or, if they cannot sing, by begging. In many cases they are thrown out by their families after their property has been taken over, or they are rejected for not having any property or other assets that the family can use. In many cases, it has been seen  that parents abandoned by their children at railway stations and out-patient departments of hospitals. In many cases even when the parents die, the children say they cannot perform the last rites, and he himself has performed the last rites for many old people. In rare cases, we find the tradition of  thalaikoothal, in Tamil Nadu which  involves giving the old person an oil bath early in the morning and making them drink a lot of tender coconut water, which results in renal failure, high fever and death in a day or two.           According to NGOs incidences of elderly couples being forced to sell their houses are very high. Some elderly people have also complained that in case of a property dispute they feel more helpless when their wives side with their children. Many of them suffer in silence as they fear humiliation or are too scared to speak up. According to them a phenomenon called 'grand dumping' is becoming common in urban areas these days as children are being increasingly intolerant of their parents' health problems.
The old persons have many problems Physiological, and those relating to Safety, Belonging, love, identification;  Esteem: Achievement, prestige, success, self respect; and Self actualisation: Expressing one's interests and talents to the full. Social aging follows a well defined pattern of   Disengagements-
1. Change in role. Change in occupation and productivity. Possibly change in attitude to work.
2. Loss of role, e.g. retirement or death of a husband.
3. Reduced social interaction. With loss of role social interactions are diminished, eccentric adjustment can further reduce social interaction, damage to self concept, depression.
4. Awareness of scarcity of remaining time. This produces further curtailment of activity in interest of saving time
The twenty-first century is often called the age of ageing. Since 1950, the proportion of the world.s
population aged 60 and over has changed from one in thirteen to one in ten, with some developingcountries ageing faster than developed countries. These demographic trends which every country is undergoing are having significant social, economic and political effects on society and on its institutions such as the family, the labour force, social and health services, etc. The impact of the world.s ageing population growth on the socio-economic policies and the culture of societies is already presenting difficulties to governments. Moreover, as a result of the radical social and cultural changes that are taking place throughout the world in recent years, such as industrialisation, urbanisation and modernisation, the stability of society has been shaken in many countries and the scale of values altered. Furthermore, traditional approaches which used to meet the needs of the older citizens are undergoing change. Population ageing poses unique challenges to every society. Unlike other population variables, such as fertility and mortality, which to a considerable extent can be influenced by government policies and interventions, the process of population ageing is neither amenable to change nor easily modified. Consequently, the attention of every government is to be aimed not on whether it can change the basic process of population ageing, but rather to the very issues that arise from this process. A very important  consequence of population ageing is the ethical issues which arise from such a phenomenon. A lot has been said and written on the rights of older persons. The Indian Laws provide  following  Rights of the ElderlyPersons-
·         Parents cannot be evicted from a house without due process of law if they have been staying there from before. There is three enactments that can be applied.
·         Under section 125 of the CrPC,a magistrate can order a child to maintain his old parents under the Maintenance of Parents Act.
·         The Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act say an aged parent can demand maintenance from children in the same way that a wife can demand it from her husband.
·         The Domestic Violence Act too provides parents with the right to seek relief from any kind of abuse.

The aged share with the young the same needs: However, the aged often have fewer or weaker resources to meet those needs. Their disengagement is not an inevitable process. The needs of the old are essentially the same as in middle age and the activities of middle age should be extended as long as possible. The decrease in social interaction of the aged is often largely the result of society withdrawing from the individual as much as the reverse. To combat this  the individual must vigorously resist the limitations of his social world.Their need for social interaction may be ignored by family and care workers. Family should make time to visit their aged members and invite them to their homes. The aged like to visit children and relate to them through games and stories. Meaningful relationships can be developed via foster-grandparent programs. Some aged are not aware of their income and health entitlements. Family and friends should take the time to explain these. Some aged are too proud to access their entitlements and this problem should be addressed in a kindly way where it occurs. It is best that the aged be allowed as much choice as possible in matters related to living arrangements, social life and lifestyle. Communities serving the aged need to provide for the aged via such things as lower curbing, and ramps.
Carers need to examine their own attitude to aging and dying. Denial in the carer is detected by the aged person and it can inhibit the aged person from expressing negative feelings - fear, anger. If the person can express these feelings to someone then that person is less likely to die with a sense of isolation and bitterness.
In India, a National Policy on older persons was announced in January 1999 which identified a number of areas of intervention-financial security, healthcare and nutrition, shelter, education, welfare, protection of life and property for the wellbeing of older persons in the country.A National Council for Older Persons (NCOP) was constituted by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to operationalize the National Policy on older persons.

To Conclude, Respect for older persons has always been thought to be a common heritage of mankind. However, the grounds and forms of such respect tend to change according to place and time. Until recently, older persons were considered as the richest storehouses of knowledge. Rapid changes in technology and the spread of schooling have produced as one result, the deposition of older persons from their status as the repositories of total wisdom. Ethics requires that human relations, even between generations, go beyond strict justice, in the sense of giving everyone his due, and express their  awareness of the unity of mankind in concrete ways. Older persons should not only mete out to themselves or receive from family, society and international humanitarian institutions, just the means of subsistence, but also be enabled to exercise generosity and show magnanimity. Older persons are morally obliged to keep making the most productive use of their talents not only out of self-interest but also as their personal contribution to the common good of mankind. To do so, they must be given the necessary space at family, social and international levels. On the one hand, older persons should assume responsibility for their own future not only for their own sakes, but also as an act of solidarity with the whole human community. Correlatively, for such an exercise to be possible, the intelligent collaboration of the State and of Civil Society with older persons themselves is necessary. These particular obligations both of and towards older persons stem from the fact that all human beings share responsibility for the well-being of all other human beings wherever they may be, both now and in the future.

KEEP SMILING

“A smile is happiness you will find right under your nose.”
We all live in a world full of work, stress, different types of tensions, running after the life or the world or to be the best or the no. 1. But in the midst of this busy race we miss a very important thing of our life is that to live it, we really forget that how to live life. Eating, studying, working and sleeping does means life it is just same as a robot. But we are not robots we are much more than that we have emotions, we laugh, we cry, we love, we hate, we enjoy, and the best thing we can do is smile.

A smile doesn’t cost us anything, everybody can do it and everybody has. A simple smile can change everything, it can stop wars, it can spread love, happiness, solve problems, clear confusions, and much more…. if we can’t do these things then what type of life are we living? This is not living. Living is that what we do together with our mind, heart, body and soul and enjoys doing. Going ahead in life with everybody, we create moments, memories whereas alone it’s just nothing.

College, we share a beautiful part of our life with it. College itself is a living thing, it has life. Here we do a lot of things first of all we make friends, study, moments, memories and much more….. Which is going to remain with us throughout our lifetime? We live in college, batches come and go and people move ahead in future but the memories which we create here remain with us through our life time. If we compare to our life it’s a very small time but it remains in our hearts always. Some people say classes are boring in college but they are the one who are going to miss it really bad I swear.

We gain a lot of things from here which can’t be expressed in word actually they don’t have proper expression. In school we dig the foundation for life but here we make the column of life which becomes the spine support for our wall of life strong and firm. We are going to miss the college the most the classes in which we studied, white – boards, stools, tables, windows, corridors, etc….

I’m  not going alone from here taking only the degree, I’m taking much more valuable than that, I’m taking those laughter’s, tears, memories some priceless things which I shared with this college doesn’t matters whether it’s sad or happy, some special teachers, director, non-teaching staff members ,food  and the most important our special friends . Don’t indulge yourself in the busy and crowded race of life leading you nowhere.

Go still and see around analyse yourself and find out what you actually want and try to live the life with mind, heart, soul and most important smile. be happy, share yourself with others because happiness increases and problems reduces after sharing, and keep a smile on your lovely faces it increases the serenity of your face and then see the world around yourself, the world will become the beautiful place to live in and living the most interesting work to do, which you will do with full enthusiasm wish you all a very bright and happy future ahead. So always smile, be happy and be a reason for others to be happy as well.

A CAMERA'S TALE OF LOVE

It was not until I was batteried-in and switched on to open my lens that I came to know what the real world looks like. No, for me, unlike most of my fellow beings, they were not the colorful objects, moving bodies which grabbed my attention but that beautiful girl! It was the very first time I saw any human being and it was her! That very moment I knew she is to be my world forever… You humans have perhaps named this very phenomenon as “Love at first sight!” There she smiled and I couldn’t help but click, thanks to my ‘Smile Shutter’ mode which was on then. All surprised by this she went on to explore all my possible settings as her fingers caressed me. To be in her soft hands made me feel more secure and comfortable than being packed in that dark case!

Our first date was on her school trip to the amusement park. The rate at which she kept clicking was something I couldn’t have imagined of! I tell you, it was one tiring day but all worth it… Not only did I see a swarm of human beings but also got enveloped deep into their happening lives. To see their smiling faces, funny poses, scary expression while on a ride was a new experience and a treat indeed. But most of all I loved clicking her…mahn! She is so beautiful!

I could see my existence giving her a relief even in the boundaries of her room. Be it her pen, that notebook containing most unromantic of chemical equations, every corner of her room, the laptop, the balcony, plants in it, the narrow streets seen from it, the unending skies… she was falling for the beauty of these ordinaries and I, for her!

One fine night she told me how she wishes to go to places all around the world only to click endlessly. I was so overwhelmed, for now I knew she wants to be with me for a lifetime. She kissed me goodnight and went to sleep, with me sitting right by her side…. In the darkness I could not see her but feel her fragrance, her every serene breath… it was a sense of sheer contentment to know that I am one reason for all the happiness she gets by capturing pictures.

Our days were going great together exploring every little place of the town she lived in… through me she had captured her memories of school. Even when carrying me along to her school was only a venture full of risk, she took the chances. That was her last day in school and she clicked every special corner of it and all her dear friends… With memories of many such incidents life moved on and soon she began her new college life! It was there I realized how possessive she could get about me. She never gave me to somebody else’s hands only because of the fear that I might be mishandled! They were such little things which gave me all the little pleasures I needed from my life.

Gradually as she tasted freedom in the new city and explored the place, I could feel we both getting into a matured relationship. Now, it was not a matter of a bunch of random clicks out of which some turned out to be good. But now, together did we feel awestruck at the heights of hills, the depth of lakes, the azure sky, the vastness of the greenery around… at the whole amazing range of awesomeness nature provides to the human beings and their mates, like me! Apart from an almost spiritual experience with the nature, it was fascinating to frame some of very thoughtfully designed buildings. And then yet another part of her life made both of us have fun together: clicks during the bunks, at the canteen, on getting dressed up for a party, while the evening or a morning walk. She perhaps doubted if her own memory would be able to keep so many lively moments to its own record, so wished to preserve every moment through me.

Things were going cool between us, only till one day when I had to capture a few lines written by her:
"To capture

the moment, the beauty of moment,
the ecstasy of moment, the rarity of moment;
you saved the moment as a still moment...
But here, now, at this moment you do realize
How unworthy it all is when you lose catch of the real moment..."

Had I been a human, I could have said that I was almost in tears reading this. But I was a camera… a camera of strong spirits and I did understand it was only natural for her, being a human, to face a moment when she would question if my existence in her life was reducing the significance of times spent with fellow human beings or at times, alone in the lap of introspection.

That feeling with a touch of melancholy was short lived as her behavior with me never changed but only became better. I must take this chance to thank our mutual and dear friend Facebook, who helped a great deal in strengthening our bond at a time when our relation, like any others, could have faced a downfall of emotions. It not only helped her glorify me but also find meaning to all the time spent with me. She now knew that clicking is not something she does just to pass time or simply as a hobby… rather it is something which helps her open pores of creativeness and induces her to come up with an amalgam of her life experiences and my clicks only to express her inner being to the world.

I had learnt a lot from her and loved her even more… But call it the unfair part of destiny that I was never made capable enough to express wholly what I felt for her. If some fine day I get a chance to tell it to her I would do ahead with this…

“I really don’t know why or how but I get pure happiness when I play the role of your picture-clicking device, and be with you or even think about you even when I am switched off… I could say you are my love of life, but girl you are what the whole of my life could ever be! I feel honored when it is me with whom you share your thoughts upon a click.

There is a secret I want to reveal today… every time I am in somebody else’s hands to click a picture solely of you, I skip a heartbeat. I stay awestruck, staring at you…you, a person of extreme beauty, so pure and mild… and it is perhaps this feeling which helps me click the best of your DPs. I just wish this goes on for our forever.

Love you much,

Your Cam <3 “
